+I was sad to recently read that Ryan Weaver - co-founder of SymfonyCasts and Symfony core team
+member - has [lost his battle with brain cancer][0].
+
+I've been a long-time subscriber to SymfonyCasts/KNP University, which was my primary source of
+Symfony learning as well as object-orientated PHP, Drupal 8 and Twig, design patterns and Stimulus.
+
+I was lucky to meet Ryan once at DrupalCon and he was [one of my first guests][1] on the Beyond
+Blocks podcast.
+
+After he announced his diagnosis, I was inspired by his positivity and determination, and honoured
+to raise funds for his first GoFundMe during one of my 10K races.
+
+I will continue to subscribe to SymfonyCasts and learn from its new videos, but it won't be the same
+without Ryan.
+
+There is also [a new GoFundMe][2] to raise funds for his son, Beckett's, educational fund which I'll
+be donating to.
+
+Thank you, Ryan.
+
+You will be missed.
